Verbinding met Venezuela.

De Venezuelaanse maatschappij Transaven, heeft een nieuw kantoor op Bonaire. Kontakt persoon is Melushkalin Thomas en is te bereiken op; bonaire@transaven.com  Transaven vliegt drie maal per week vanuit Caracas naar Bonaire v.v. Bonaire-Caracas: Maandag en Woensdag om 18.30 via Valencia en Vrijdag direct naar Caracas om 14.30.

Nieuw KLM schema voor Peru.

Zoals het er nu naar uitziet, zal de vlucht naar Lima, Peru met ingang van het nieuwe seizoen worden uitgevoerd door een Boeing 777. Bonaire zal hierdoor de dagelijkse rechtstreekse vlucht met Amsterdam gaan missen. De vluchten naar Equador zullen wellicht worden opgevoerd naar 6 of 7 per week. De vluchten naar Equador zullen voorlopig Bonaire wel als tussenstop houden met de MD 11 omdat de start/landings baan in Quito te kort is voor de Boeing 777. Het goede nieuws is, dat er een nieuwe, twee wekelijkse, vlucht naar Bonaire komt die in combinatie met Aruba zal worden uitgevoerd.  Er is ook sprake van een vlucht naar Panama, via Bonaire! Wij houden u op de hoogte!

Homeland Security

The U.S. State Department and the Department Homeland Security recently announced the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative, which will require all U.S. citizens and foreign nationals, to carry a passport or other accepted secure documents to enter or re-enter the U.S. from vacations or business travel anywhere in the Caribbean, including Bonaire.  This requirement will go into effect on December 31, 2006 and is applicable to all air and sea travel.

Tourist Tax: 'case closed' ?

This message has been sent by the TCB last week:

Important: "In light of the feedback we received from our stakeholders and in an effort to ensure that the final levy is equitable and that it be instituted in a seamless manner the Island Government of Bonaire confirmed recently that the revised tax structure (Island Tax) will not be introduced until further notice".

Arke Fly - New Airline

Bonaire, nieuwe bestemming voor Arke Fly.

Arke Fly (Dutch carrier) zal met ingang van het nieuwe winterseizoen ook naar Bonaire vliegen. Elke Zaterdag met een Boeing 767-300ER. Zoals in de media bekend is geworden, zal er al een package beschikbaar zijn vanaf Euro 499 ! Dit is incl. vlucht-accommodatie en transfers! Bonaire zal hiermee de concurrentie aangaan met Curacao en Aruba, maar hierdoor net zo'n populaire bestemming kunnen worden als nu b.v. Isla Margaritha!
